I kinda miss that last generation of Talon TSi.

I wish there were a new sleek 3-door fastback coupe, with a stick, and AWD, be it turbo 4 or 6-cylinder.

It is amazing that Mitsubishi has missed the boat so far, and for so long as they have with Eclipse, despite knowing that Concept RA would have done some business for them.

Whatever Mitsu is doing, they don't seem to want to be in the business of selling cars.

Eagle had the style, though... I never liked the Eclipse version of this car. The Talon had the better front fascia, the less bulbous rear bumper cover, and the cooler concave 2-color tail lights, and that elevated center pedestal wing with the CHMSL.

It may not have been as big-time as 3000GT or Stealth RT... but it was a cool little car, as transverse-engined cars go.

Up there with the ST160 Toyota Celica GT-Four from a decade earlier (90's celicas got UGLY, and the last one looked good, but was never turbocharged or AWD.)

Long live the AWD, manual-gearbox, 3-door affordable Sport Coupes. How I wish even one were still available!

Yea i bought a 98 Talon TSI AWD a few months ago. Love the look of it way more than the Eclipse. They are pretty quick with some basic bolts ons too

Heyoo! was literally just talking about how i drove these two cars back to back one time in another thread!

My first car was a 1988 Celica All-trac, and a good friend at the time had a 2nd gen TSi AWD. For two cars that shared so much in terms of setup, they could not have felt more different. The Talon is a sports car, sharp steering, hard suspension and a drivetrain that delivers smoother shifts and less turbo lag than the Celica. The All-trac on the other hand had much less feel in the steering and through the chassis, however it also had more travel in the suspension and felt faster in a straight line. The Talon also felt like it was disintegrating from the inside out, while the Celica felt rock solid in terms of build quality.
